Niagara Falls

Well, actually not! What you see in the foreground are the American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls. The largest and the most commonly associated with the name Niagara Falls, the Horseshoe Falls is in the background. Niagara Falls is the collective name for these three waterfalls. Okay now enough of the geography and enjoy some photography! 🙂

My New Eye

I have a total of five Canon lenses, two kit lenses, one 24 mm, one 50 mm and one 10-18 mm. One day God, yes the Almighty Lord himself, whispered softly to me. He said, “Son, why art thou indulging in excessiveness? Why some many lenses? I have made a fine piece of a glass and it is called the Canon 24-105 mm. Haven’t you heard about it? Give up all your petty worldly possessions (a.k.a lenses) and possess only the Canon 24-105 mm. Thou shall be happy!”

I had a sudden epiphany and I contacted Rajan Parrikar for guidance. He suggested me to visit canonpricewatch.com for deals and not to splurge by buying the lens for $999. I found a great deal at almost 30% discount.

And today, 26th Jan 2016, I have my new lens, my Canon 24-105 mm, my new eye!

Season’s Greetings

This weekend saw us being lured in by the “exciting” offers of Bath And Body Works. Their “irresistible” deals were something like this…”Buy any three of our signature collection items and get other three absolutely free. Got coupons? Get additional $20 off. Wearing a red and white outfit? Get more 20% off for being in the Yuletide mood…blah blah blah.

In the shop my wife was busy straining her olfactory cells trying to determine whether the fragrance of “Winter Candy Apple” was better or the fragrance of “Japenese Cherry Blossoms” smelled more pleasing. I, for one, seriously cannot tell the difference between either of the two, they all smell the same. I usually do a last minute cameo in these shopping dramas. “Honey can you pass your credit card please?…Sure!“. Swipe…there goes another $150…puff! Oops! my emotions are getting the better of me, I am digressing.

Anyways, while my wife was busy doing her things, I was busy doing mine. The following photographs were taken using iPhone 6 Plus and processed in Lightroom on iPad 3.
