Presented below is a slice of Toledo downtown. And as the saying goes…”You will do better in Toledo“.
Last evening I got a chance to be over the Maumee river at sunset and luckily I had my camera over my person. So here is the proof that I was there. 🙂
The blue and white vessel at the pier in the foreground is the Sandpiper which is a passenger vessel which has been plying over the Maumee since 1984.
Adorning the middle ground is the Cherry Street Bridge (officially called Martin Luther King, Jr. Bridge). Built in 1914 it is actually a draw bridge; the blue part of the bridge, in the middle left of the photograph, opens up to allow big vessels to pass through.
And finally standing tall (pun intended) in the background is the cable-stayed Veterans’ Glass City Skyway.
Today’s is the information world, where information is the key to success. If you are not updated with the latest, chances are you will be left behind and eventually be at a loss. Take for instance today’s consumer, the subject of this post. Everyday we, the consumers, are literally strafed with a barrage of advertisements, recommended products, you-may-also-like, customers-who-purchased-this-also-purchased, deals, discount coupons…ad infinitum! Tough this information overload may seem useful what it does is actually confound us. 😦

In the recent years there have been a slew of books and movies with titles which begin with ‘The Girl‘. For example, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played With Fire, The Girl From The Train, The Girl On The Train, The Girl Who Farted In the Rat’s Face…(ok, I made up the last one). However, what is not made up is the photograph below. I captured this exposure during the summer of 2016 at one of Perrysburg downtown street festival.
