Sai Durbaar

Shirdi Sai Baba used to encourage local artistic talent during His stay at Shirdi. Along with Hari Bhajan and Kirtan there used be dance and singing performances by the local artists and this was much enjoyed by Baba.

In keeping with the same spirit the Sai Temple at Livonia, Michigan organizes ‘Sai Durbaar’ on the third Sunday of every month during which there are live performances by budding artists and artistic groups. These performance are not only entertaining and help in boosting confidence in the young but also helpful in keeping the Indian cultural fabric vibrant. Ironically and unfortunately this very fabric is fast fraying and losing it’s vivaciousness in India.

The photo essay below tries to capture the spirit of the surmayee and entertaining evening which we attended on 19th Feb 2017.
