The Humble Bee

While I was working on the “Floral Bouquet” post, photographing the flowers, I saw a bunch of bees hovering on flowers collecting nectar. It was very nice to see these little creatures incessantly moving from flower to flower doing their daily job. In this whole process they were unknowingly contributing to pollination.

Bees are responsible for pollinating one in three bites of food that we eat! Einstein once famously said, “If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe then man would only have four years of life left. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man.” (Source: The Telegraph)

P.S. These photos are taken using iPhone 4 with a focal length of 3.85 mm and without any control on shutter speed, aperture, ISO etc. And still my iPhone did a pretty decent job with these snaps.
